August update

All is well in Medellin!  Working hard at the Children's Foundation, strengthening the staff and helping moms (many drug addicts/prostitutes) of kids to realize God's REAL plan for their lives and families.  Our kids are doing GREAT, and we love watching the kids at Viento Fresco thrive as they are nurtured, loved and taught that God is real and has a plan for their lives!

Halfway to Medellin!

Hello all~  We're now in Florida, halfway to Medellin. Wish we had pix of O'Hare.  We were only allowed 2 40-lb suitcases and 2 small carry-ons at O'Hare, so we wore several pairs of underwear, many outfits, etc.... At check-in they said we could add to the bags, so we took off outfit after outfit... like clowns coming out of a car. :) Now we're getting some much needed R&R, and we'll arrive in Medellin Wednesday. We're leaving June 21st!

Good news....we have our VISAS and plane tickets, and we're headed off to Medellin, Colombia (with a short stay in Miami to visit our missions agency and have a few days of rest) on June 21st!  We can't ship anything, so everything is either being given away, sold, packed into a small space in our basement, or packed into one of our 10 suitcases.  It sure does help us prioritize what we 'really need'. 

The kids have done an amazing job of giving away toys, books, etc....and are rollling with the transition quite well to date.  I must say that the house looks quite different without furniture....not sure if it's easier or more difficult to keep clean.  :)

We are in high spirits, and are looking forward to watching God continue to do great things in, around and through His children.  A special thanks to all of our friends and partners for their prayers and support....we do this together!!!  :)

We're moving in 4 weeks

Hello friends~  God is good and we're in the final stages of moving preparation.  Most of our furniture is gone, and the kids have donated most of their toys.  We are so amazed as we watch God move in miraculous ways.  He is a GOOD and POWERFUL God, and we're so thankful He is in control.  Working on VISA paperwork now.  As soon as that is completed, we purchase our tickets.  Our renters are moving in on June 22nd, so we're aiming for that date.
